DOROTHY MAE LOMAX DORRAH EVANS was born one hundred years ago on January 30, 1906. For the past thirty years she has been a faithful member of the Third Street Church of God, serving the Lord in numerous capacities, and touching the lives of people of all ages and all walks of life with her testimony of Christian faith, hope and love.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHERYL J. SANDERS, SENIOR PASTOR OF THE THIRD STREET CHURCH OF GOD, as authorized by the Church Council, do hereby proclaim Sunday, February 5, 2006, as DOROTHY EVANS DAY at Third Street Church of God. I call on all members and friends of our congregation to give thanks to God for her century of longevity, her love for everybody, and her legacy of unceasing prayer.

In further recognition of her ministry among us as counselor, encourager and prayer warrior, I hereby bestow upon her the honorary title of CHURCH MOTHER.
